Grieving takes time and energy (Psalm 6:6–7). It is like a journey with stops along the way. Each person spends different amounts of time at each stop and may even backtrack. Understanding the grief journey does not take away the pain, but it can help us be more patient with ourselves and others. If we allow ourselves to take the journey, it will lead to healing and new beginnings. God also cares about our feelings and promises to never leave us.
